My Creative Process
My Creative Process:
All my artworks are hand painted one of a kind original paintings.
(No prints / copies)
My creative process begins by collecting inspiration from unlocked memories, dreams, photographs, scratchy tickets, lottery tickets & designer labels, journaling and putting aside all the things I have collected to be apart of my mixed media painting.
Once all the inspiration and collage pieces have been put aside and organised. I begin to prepare my blank canvases.
I prepare my canvases with gesso and add addition texture my mixing mediums together.
After allowing this to dry for 24 hours I begin creating the layers and paintings.
My works are made up of many layers and I allow each layer to dry completely before starting the next.
A painting can take anywhere from 3 hours for a very small painting and up to 50 hours for larger works.
